Studio news:

We are happy to announce a new, very talented, teacher to our staff at Fortitude. Karalee Morris is accepting new clients and offers a wonderful addition to our teachers.

We have teachers specialized in applying Pilates for the dressage rider (or any equestrian). Learning Pilates will enhance your ability to ride more efficiently; educate your sense of feel; understand the feeling of engagement so you can teach your horse to be better engaged; find and learn how to use your core muscles and then apply them to your riding skills; and learn to hold your posture dynamically while riding. Call the studio to schedule a session to change the way you feel on your horse!!!!

Learn how to strengthen your core from a Pilates professional –-- Karalee Morris -- who also happens to be a successful long distance runner, currently preparing for the 2009 Western States 100 Endurance Run.

Train your core like a runner – from a runner – using the Pilates method in our fully-equipped studio located in Folsom on the Folsom Granite Bay border.

Now taking new clients for private sessions, duets, or new trios specifically designed for the runner. Special trio packages are $130 per person (normally $140) for 4 sessions. You will learn how to incorporate the Pilates principles as you run.

Riders' Position Workshop

Your body position can contradict your aides.

How can your horse be straight, if you're not?
How can he use his back, if you're blocking it?

Learn more about yourself as a rider in this 2 hour workshop.

- Learn how your body position influences your horse's movement.
- Evaluate your movement patterns
- Learn exercises that can help you to improve your riding.

In July 2008 we are adding the following group classes to our schedule:
Mondays at 6:30 p.m.
Fridays at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesdays at 12 noon
Thursdays at 12:30


We are taking sign-ups now for these new classes - please call the studio to sign-up!!
